Spreading Faith Through Fashion

MISSION

FAITH THROUGH FASHION

I am unashamed and unapologetic for my faith in God. Ready to share a message of hope, deliverance and encouragement.

I'm not perfect... But that's the point.

God took a chance on me, so I won't let him down.

Those who trust God are like trees planted near a stream. They don't worry when drought comes, they always produce fruit to be shared. -Jeremiah 17:8

SHARE YOUR FRUIT... SPREAD YOUR FAITH... SAY IT THROUGH FASHION...

POP'N Off

POP Off #ProtectOurProgress

Protect Our Progress

POP Off

Protect Our Progress is about capitalizing on the accomplishments of our ancestors, not undermining their work. Further, it's about creating Opportunities For Future generations.

With preparation, opportunity and perspiration many  issues plaguing our communities would disappear, others could be addressed.  It's about time we all POP'd Off at the problem.

If I’m a messenger of hate, I guess that makes you the subject of the message…

Message: We must act to remove institutions of hate, oppression and division. We must remain vigilant. We must strengthen the weakest among us. We must prepare the next generation for the bounty of our pursuit. We must protect our progress. POP Off.

Desperately Seeking Change

I guess you could say that Martin was lucky this was an arrest, not its choke-hold alternative. Under no circumstance can we stop the fight against injustice.

Pardon me for being less concerned about a statue falling than the evil institutions those controversial figures left standing.

Let’s keep focus where it belongs, on the change we seek.

REVOLUTIONary

Chairman [my cousin] Fred was assassinated for POP'n Off. He tried to warn that you could kill a revolutionary, but not a revolution.

Just because another body is in the ground, it doesn't mean you've won. [Didn't Jesus teach you anything?]

Stolen or not, liberty is our birthright. We will not stop the pursuit.

Our children are counting on it.

PAST EVENTS

REMEMBERING BLACK FATHERS

I attended a local prayer rally to honor Juneteenth and Fathers. Of course they would combine the only holiday fathers getBut, on this day, a Civil Rights Father was remembered—Rev. Milton .M. Merriweather (Pastor, Los Angeles). A man instrumental in banning use of the chokehold by LA police officers was remembered.

It is unfortunate that even today, this work is needed. That's where Fathers must continue to advocate for future generations.

Honoring his legacy were the mayor of Inglewood, his chief of police and other city representatives. Local ministers spoke and acknowledged the contributions and impact of Merriweather.

Color of Change presented a gift to New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist, the church founded by Pastor Merriweather.

The event was closed with a prayer by Merriweather's granddaughter, event coordinator and author [www.JazlynDenise.com].
